How to Upload Music to Hitz.me

Part 1: Uploading Music

  1. 1. Access the Workspace:

    from the main menu, click on the Workspace tab

  2. 2. Navigate to the Promotion Tab:

    inside the Workspace, open the Promotion tab

  3. 3. Create Release:

    fill in the required and optional fields

    Reqiured Fields:

    • Release Title: enter the album title.
    • Release Cover: upload the album cover (formats: JPG, PNG, GIF; max size: 10 MB).

    Optional Fields:

    • Release Version: enter the album version number (e.g., '1.0', '2.0', etc.).
    • Genres: select up to two genres from the dropdown menu.
    • Release Type: choose the release type: Album, Single, or EP.
    • Release Date: enter the release date (for new albums) or the first publication date (for reissues).
    • Recording Year: specify the year the album was recorded.
    • Explicit: indicate if the album contains explicit material (Yes/No).
    • Label: enter the name of your label.
    • UPC: if you don’t have a UPC, one will be automatically generated and assigned to you.
    • Publishing Obligation: specify any obligations related to publishing rights.
    • Add Document: upload documents to validate the acquisition of master rights.
    • Publishing Platforms: select platforms for publishing (e.g., Hitz.me or all stores).

  4. 4. Upload Tracks:

    drag and drop audio files from your device into the upload area (see: how to add tracks to the album while creating).

    • From PC:

      select and upload or drag and drop audio files from your computer

    • From Cloud:

      select and upload or drag and drop audio files from your cloud storage

  5. 5. Configure Track Metadata:

    • Click the arrow next to a track to open the metadata form.
    • Fill in the required fields, such as Title, Author, and Artists.
    • To add a new artist, click Add New Artist (see Part 2).

    Metadata status icons:

    • Warning: Indicates missing or incorrect information.
    • Success: Indicates the data is complete.

  6. 6. Apply Metadata to All Tracks:

    use the Apply to All Tracks option to copy metadata fields across all tracks.

  7. 7. Verify the Album:

    • Ensure all required fields are completed and warnings are resolved.

    • Toggle Send to Verification from No to Yes, then click Save.

  8. 8. Confirm the Upload:

    • After successful submission, a confirmation notification will appear.
    • Click Close to finalize the process.
    • Click Go to Album to view the status and location of the album.

  9. 9. View and Edit the Album:

    • Open the Releases page using the Go to Album button to track its status.
    • To make changes, select the Edit tab in the Album menu (see Part 3)
